GNC Inositol Review: For Improved Cell Function
GNC Inositol is a supplement with the vitamin-like ingredient inositol. This substance is used to improve neural cell-to-cell communication and overall cell growth. Some use inositol to help reduce anxiety and for improved sleep quality, but the supplement can is appropriate to use daily to help general cell function. If you feel as though your diet is not nutritious enough and that it could use a bit of oomph then this product may be a suitable choice.
GNC Inositol’s Manufacturer
GNC is a well-respected American supplement enterprise that is known worldwide. They have a good reputation for selling reliable and high quality products that successfully deliver the results promised. GNC Inositol has a very gentle and mild formula, so although we aren’t expecting to hit the jackpot with this product, we hope that it can live up to our standards.
GNC does not use any sketchy marketing practices or unethical landing pages to promote their products. The company sells both online (GNC.com) and in their stores which can be found at nearly every shopping center – this makes it very convenient for people to buy their products.
GNC Inositol’s Price
GNC Inositol’s price certainly stands out. A bottle containing 100 veggie capsules costs as low as $11.99. GNC recommends that you take 1 capsule a day, meaning the bottle should last you for more than 3 months. Since the price tag on this product is so affordable, it’s completely understandable why people use it as part of their daily vitamin regime.
GNC Inositol’s Ingredients
Each GNC Inositol capsule contains 500 mg of inositol. As mentioned previously, this ingredient mostly works to improve brain cell function and brain receptor communication. Inositol can be used to enhance and/or maintain overall brain health, which is great for those of you concerned with age-related cognitive decline. Inositol is also used to treat conditions including depression, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and panic disorder, because the ingredient may work to improve mood and lower anxiety. Decreased stress levels leads to higher focus, so taking GNC inositol at a daily basis may help improve concentration abilities.
There isn’t a lot of hype for this product because as we said earlier, it is basically a vitamin supplement. However, general customer reviews on Amazon.com and GNC.com are very positive and do not mention any complaints. For instance, user Melanie Z from GNC.com wrote that the product significantly helped to improve her mood – “I have noticed a huge difference in my mood such as I don’t feel as “down” as I used to which I think says a lot […] Whenever I slack and don’t take my inositol for a few days I can instantly tell the difference I feel sad I feel emotional etc.”
Since this product is similar to a regular vitamin supplement we didn’t feel the need to test it out. Luckily enough, one of our team members’ friend has been using this product for the past 3 months and claims to be somewhat satisfied with the results. She stacks it with her usual multi-vitamin and says that it keeps her calmer during periods of stress.
Pro’s and Con’s
- Cheap price
Could help improve mood
- Is not very effective at improving cognitive function
- May not help with focus, memory, learning, etc.
If you’re looking for a new vitamin supplement that can help maintain overall brain health and help with mood, you’ve certainly found the right product. GNC Inositol works on many customers to lower anxiety and improve mood, so if stress is your main concern then we don’t see why you shouldn’t go for this well-priced product.
However, GNC Inositol falls far behind when compared to effective nootropic supplements with advanced formulas. If you’re on the hunt for a powerful product that can bring you cognitive enhancing benefits then we suggest that you turn your attention elsewhere. Our favorite nootropic product Nitrovit for instance, contains stellar ingredients like Vinpocetine and Huperzine A, which can improve memory, focus, learning, mood and overall mental performance. So although GNC Inositol is not completely useless, it does not quite shine through when placed on the shelf next to esteemed nootropic products like Nitrovit.
