Our First Impressions

If you’ve ever visited any kind of vitamin or retail store, you’ve probably come across NeuroOptimizer by Jarrow Formulas. Jarrow Formulas is a very well-known supplement company that almost at a yearly basis gets awards and/or recognition from bigger players in the nutrition industry. While this may not seem too important to you, we place such high value in customer trust and we really appreciate companies who genuinely care about their product value and customer satisfaction. We believe that Jarrow Formulas meets the criteria, which is great news for you!

NeuroOptimizer differentiates itself from other cognitive enhancing supplements by not only providing benefits to brain function but also supporting overall brain health. So how does NeuroOptimizer compare to the rest of the gang and can it outshine our all-time favorite Nitrovit? Stay tuned!

NeuroOptimizer Ingredients

We honestly thought that NeuroOptimizer would fall into the trap that most supplements do, which is to stuff 100 different ingredients into a single pill, hoping that the customer would be impressed by the variety of substances. If you’ve ever been fooled by this trick, please know that most of the time, too many ingredients just means lowered potency. This is because the substances tend to hinder each other from performing instead of forming an effective synergy. NeuroOptimizer only contains 7 active ingredients – a relatively low amount, but perhaps they’ve figured out the magic number.

Each NeuroOptimizer capsule contains: Folic Acid, Cytidine 5′- diphosphocholine, Phosphatidylserine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, L-Glutamine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Taurine, Phosphatidylcholine, Silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and cellulose.

So what can each of these ingredients do? Let’s go over the highlights. Acetyl L-Carnitine works by reducing overall fatigue and increasing mental alertness. It will basically put you in the optimal state to feel motivated and get productive. Phosphatidylserine, on the other hand, has neuroprotective properties and maintains cell wall integrity. This is why it is often used to prevent age-related memory loss and to support overall brain health. Meanwhile, Alpha Lipoic Acid helps with cellular metabolism and produces an increase in overall energy levels, making you feel more alert. L-Glutamine is an amino acid that inhibits the over-firing of nerve cells, therefore promoting feelings of calmness and reducing anxiety.

Other Reviews

“This is GREAT for memory, recall, speed of thinking etc., but for me, every single time I start to take this, within several days I develop serious digestive problems (like diarrhea, IBS, gastritis and that sort) and the problems simply do not go away until i stop taking this. These also give me energy durin workouts and I also lose weight while taking these even for only 5 days, but after I stop taking them (due to the digestive problems), the weight comes bank on. Good luck with these and I hope you don’t have the same problems I did! I guess I need trial & error to figure out with of the ingredients are bad for me (especially my digestive system) and which are absolutely fantastic.”

“I was recommended this product for memory, but after taking if religiously for 2 months, I didn’t notice any difference with my memory. However, everyone is different and it could work great for some people. If you have gotten a bad memory for any reason, I’d say this product is worth a try. Amazon.com offered it at a reasonable price. I didn’t get anything for writing this review.”

Con’s

  • May not work for everyone
  • Contains soy; unsuitable to those allergic/sensitive to soy

Cost and Summary of NeuroOptimizer

NeuroOptimizer is manufactured by Jarrow Formulas, a popular supplement company. After going through the formula, we were quite happy with Jarrow Formulas’ decisions. The ingredients chosen directly address each of their claims; ALCAR, for instance, works to reduce fatigue and improve mental alertness (meets that claim about improving brain function) meanwhile Phosphatidylserine protects the nerve cells by maintaining cell membrane integrity (meets the claim about supporting brain health). As we looked through the customer reviews available online, however, it seems that there are mixed responses. The product works very well for some but it does nothing for others, which is quite standard because each individual is different.

This product is definitely above average and so we would not hesitate to make a purchase if we were you. Please note the certain customers have experienced digestive problems after taking the product; so if you’re someone who works outside your house (i.e. office, school, etc.) get ready to make the toilet your second work cubicle.
