Zoned Review: Boost Energy and Improve Cognitive Function
Our First Impressions
The manufacturers of Zoned have promoted their product as “a safer and more potent focus optimizer and mental health supplement than amphetamine derivatives found in ADD, ADHD and study pill drugs.” Interestingly, however, word on the street is that Zoned is not the supplement to choose if you have attention issues. Due to its energy boosting formula, those who suffer from ADD/ADHD do not quite like the effects. Perhaps, however, Zoned can be useful for students and/or workers who need to concentrate and maintain high levels of mental energy for extended periods of time. Can Zoned effectively improve your mood, enhance memory, increase energy, boost focus and essentially get you in the zone for a productive day? Or is this just another average product? Stay tuned to find out.
A highly concentrated form of Vitamin B1 that increases nerve cell metabolism, leading to improved mental clarity and alertness. Sulbutiamine may also improve mood thus leading to increased motivation and productivity.
Works with acetylcholine neurotransmitters, which are responsible for learning and memory encoding. Choline is always a great addition to any nootropic supplement, but different types of choline have differing levels of effectiveness. Choline citrate is an average version of choline (not the best, but not bad). It’s not nearly as effective as CDP Choline or Alpha GPC, but these two are more expensive so the manufacturers may have gone with the cheaper option.
Caffeine works well to improve mental alertness and reduce overall fatigue.
Affects levels of dopamine and norepinephrine neurotransmitters in the brain thus leading to increased energy levels and improved mood.
Increases dopamine levels (our ‘feel-good’ neurotransmitters), which leads to better mood and increased motivation.
“This product works great. I didn’t notice my memory improve, but it helps focus and keeps me awake, so all is good.”

“HOW IT AFFECTED ME:
-noticeable increase in energy within 30 minutes (probably a result of the caffeine)
-didn’t feel more focused (was still distracted by reddit and facebook while doing homework, maybe a little more focused? not super obsessed like the other reviewer was)
-no noticeable crash (didn’t feel horrible after a few hours)
-slightly more mental clarity, I was able to absorb information better.”
- Adolf H on Amazon.com
“Either didn’t do much or nothing at all. Haven’t taken all of them, but I doubt the bottom of the bottle will work better than the rest.”
- Anonymous on Amazon.com
Pro’s and Con’s
- Contains good nootropics
- May increase mental alertness, boost energy and enhance focus
- Does not work for some people

- Those sensitive to caffeine may not respond well
Cost and Summary of Zoned
Zoned is a nootropic supplement that can enhance mental focus and increase energy levels. We were impressed to see that the formula only contains 120 mg of caffeine! Most energy supplement companies these days are really pushing it with their caffeine content (because it’s cheap!), leading to adverse side effects such as jitters and hyperactivity. So we applaud Zoned for limiting the caffeine quantity in the formula.
However, we did notice that the product includes the cheapest version of choline, which is an essential ingredient in the formula. This tells us that the manufacturers are not too concerned with product value and customer satisfaction. Speaking of which, the customer reviews available online are about 40% positive, 60% negative. Since the price tag is very affordable, you could give it a shot without feeling too bad about potential disheartening results. But if you’re ready to buy a product with higher-quality ingredients and a more effective formula then checkout our editors’ choice award winner, Nitrovit.
